Hi everyone, Im Bruce Hudson I have been hunting and collecting artifacts most of my life around the Kentucky area. And have been very fortunate to have seen and studied many fine examples. I love the outdoors and im very at home in the woods and streams.I have always been interested in every angle and corner of the hobby.Including Native American Heritage.
I was born and raised in Kentucky and got interested in artifacts at a young age when my grandmother gave me 4 points that i still have today. I grew up interested Native Americans more and more. Having Cherokee on my mothers side of the family and my Grandparents having Sioux friends in South Dakota. It was all around me.
Today i have a strong and proud place inside me for these people and the repect that they deserve that some may not understand.Somethings are hard to put into words.Im fasinated by the history. And the idea that you can hold in your hand an artifact that was last touched by that owner really gave me the sense of a connection in a way. After looking at different points I started seeing the difference in the early knapper from the real craftsman.
They took pride in their work, And you almost get a respect of the difference in personalities that each person had when seeing and studing the points. The artifacts are great to look at and find, but even more the history of them remains the most important.Keep your records updated! I have never sold personal finds and have every artifact i have ever found. And one day when the Great Spirit takes me home this collection will be passed down through my family. The feeling you get when hunting them and understanding it on a deeper level cannot ever be sold or taken when shaking hands with the past. Good Hunting to you all! Bruce Hudson
